Kansas APCO is a chapter of the Association of Public Safety Communications Officials, an international organization focused on the enhancement and enrichment of public safety.
The Chapter was formed on April 8, 1955, after the MO-KAN Chapter separated into two state chapters. Red the article from the May 1955 APCO Bulletin.
Kansas APCO's membership includes
anyone involved in public safety
communications, including 9-1-1
dispatchers and administrators, police
chiefs, fire chiefs, and EMS Directors,
and members of the private industry.
The purpose of the Chapter is to
represent communications agencies in
legislative matters related to emergency
communications, to provide guidance and leadership to it's members, and offer training and networking at it's annual conference.
We invite you to consider joining the Kansas Chapter of APCO and see what we have to offer.
